Regular Council Meeting <br />4-21-08 <br />Page 16 <br />008 - Modification of cast stone headers around <br />windows $4,500.00 <br />- We are going to do that. <br />012 - Use of aluminum over copper for utters $17,700.00 <br />- We chose to do that. <br />013 - Removal of cupola and finials $14,400.00 <br />- We did not specifically agree to that. <br />Chief Dearden indicated he does not believe Council made a decision one <br />way or the other on those. The cupola is the decorative top. The cupola <br />and finial match the other buildings. Mr. Marrelli does not believe we <br />ever came to the conclusion that we were going to remove those. It is on <br />the fire station. Council President Buckholtz suggested we leave it. <br />Before all of these modifications are accepted, Council President <br />Buckholtz asked for the advice of the Finance Director. We can do a <br />straw pole if anyone has any outstanding issues. Council agreed to leave <br />that one in. <br />Mr. Dinardo mentioned that some of these items can be put on the spec as <br />an alternate. On the drawing we can ask what the cost is for the cupola <br />and finials. <br />Mr. Marrie stated we should know what it would cost if we want to do it. <br />Mr. Maa-relli indicated that is what we will do. <br />014 - Elimination of a metal ceiling in rooms <br />104,105,106 $1,600.00 <br />- There is already a pre-cast concrete ceiling. We don't need <br />the metal ceiling. <br />015 - Modification of ceilin tiles $9,200.00 <br />- This is just a different type of ceiling tile. <br />018 - Anticipated reduction in geothermal HVAC <br />system $400,000.00 <br />- This would be through redesign <br />Mr. Saponaro asked if we could look at this item both ways. Mr. Dinardo <br />indicated we cannot. You would be doing a split system similar to what we <br />have here, where you have a condenser outside and a furnace inside. <br />Because of the constraints of the site, we do not have any room for the <br />condensers and we would have to clo some modifications to the roof.
