Regular Council Meeting
4-21-08
Page 19
Mrs. Mills reported that a meeting was held with the Health Care Task Force Committee on
April 16`h
Mr. Brett stated that Ted Kravec from Lance Insurance was there to explain the history of
that particular negotiation. It was recommended that in order to be in a better position next
year, we either market or go out to bid for the medical care. We would start meeting
monthly with representatives of each department and the union to discuss the various
options available to us. Mr. Esborn has volunteered to be the point person on that particular
project. He will be organizing that and getting in touch with Council members and
working with Mary Beth to schedule with the representatives of the employee groups.
Mr. Brett thanked Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker for being present at the meeting. Both of them
did a very good job.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
First Reading of Resolution No. 2008-12, entitled "An Emergency Resolution providing for the
creation of a"State Mandated Police Training Fund" and authorizing the deposit of funds into
such account."
