Regular Council Meeting <br />4-21-08 <br />Page 4 <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - There was no report. <br />Commission on Agin? - There was no report. <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco stated that she was contacted this <br />past week from Diane Wolgamuth from the Service Department. We are getting ready to <br />schedule a meeting. We got a lot of new projects in. They have been out walking through the <br />areas. It will take place in the next two weeks. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on April 7th. They had <br />an update on the police station. The committee also discussed the brackets for the hanging <br />baskets. <br />Finance Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Finance Committee met this evening. They <br />approved recommendations 1-14. Items 15-18 were ordinances and resolutions which were <br />discussed. We will discuss these items as they come up. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills reported that tomorrow third graders from St. Francis are <br />coming in. We had 102 children from Millridge visit last week, 50 in the morning and 52 in the <br />afternoon. We have one more session this month with 26 students from St. Clare's School. ? <br />Tonight the Historical Society is asking Council to pass its request for an annual donation. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker reported that M.A.R.C. met on April 3`d. The only real item of note was <br />that they discussed doing something for A1 Kay who died in March. He was a Councilman in <br />Mayfield Heights for many years and was active in public service. He was instrumental in <br />establishing M.A.R.C. The Board decided to offer an award at the Art Show in Al's name. They <br />felt that would be fitting. The next meeting will be held. in May. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - There was no meeting, so there is no report. <br />PlanninE and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt reported that Planning and Zoning had a workshop on <br />April 17t . There was one item on the agenda which was a conditional use permit for MDU <br />Broadcast. They submitted a new location for their satellite dishes which was more desirable <br />than the previous ones. They also discussed the various items on Mayor Rinker's status report. <br />They then had general discussion. <br />Recreation Board - Dr. Parker reported that the Recreation Board met on April 16th. They <br />discussed the Annual Debbie Hudacko Memorial Scholarship. They will be distributed at the <br />Annual Senior Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 30th. They also discussed the various youth <br />and adult sports programs. There will be a teen concert this summer at Parkview Pool on June <br />21St. The next meeting is Wednesday, September l7tn
