Regular Council Meeting <br />5-19-08 <br />Page 4 <br />The flowers are phenomenal. The poster project is ongoing. The wildflower project will <br />continue after the plantings. Council President Buckholtz added that the committee discussed <br />walking the trail. Anyone interested in doing so could accompany the Mayor on his Saturday ? <br />morning walks. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 30th at 7:00 p.m. <br />Board of Appeals - There was no meeting. <br />Ceanetery - The committee will be placing American flags at the cemetery in honor of <br />Memorial Day. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Marrie reported that the Committee met last week. They <br />discussed the Memorial Day Service at the cemetery for the Veterans and the bike paths. The <br />next meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 9th at 7:00 p.m. <br />Commission on ALying - There was no report. <br />Drainaize & Infrasta-ucture/Stormwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco reported that the committee is <br />awaiting informal bid evaluation. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on May Sth. They <br />discussed the police station and defibrillators. The cost for that should be $3,168.00 due to a <br />grant received. Half of the cost will be paid by Gates Mills. <br />Finanee Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Finance Committee met this evening. There <br />were 7 items on the agenda. They recommended approval of 6 of tlie items. They deferred the <br />seventh one, Ordinance No. 2008-21 regarding EMS billing because the Committee did not have <br />any information in front of them. <br />Historical Society - Nlrs. Mills reported that the last tour will take place tomorrow from 8:30- <br />2:00. They are expecting 75-85 children. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - M.A.R.C. met on Thursday, May lst. They discussed donations received in <br />Memory of A1 Kay. They discussed programming and construction at the schools. The next <br />meeting is scheduled for June St" at 7:00 p.m. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Maxquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on May <br />13t . They discussed excavation fees and federal guidelines regarding the size of dish antennas. <br />Planning and Zoniniz - Mr. Marquardt reported that Planning and Zoning had a workshop on <br />May 15t . A gas and oil presentation was provided. Also discussed was a proposal to rezone at <br />650 S.O.M. Center Road. Council President Buckholtz added that the gas and oil well meeting <br />was extremely well attended and went well.
