Regular Council Meeting 7-21-08 Page 7 Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. This is what we talked about at Caucus and in Planning Development. Everyone should be familiar with it. Mr. Marrelli reported that tomorrow night we will have Cal Caminati from South Euclid at the meeting. He is the Planning Director from there. He was also at Solon. He will address the Committee on the pluses and minuses of having a Planning Director and what a person like that can do for you. He will talk with them about putting together a request for professionals for this position. When Mr. Marrelli talked to him a couple of weeks ago, he felt that for us to embark on trying to redevelop any areas of town no matter how big without a Planning Director is hard. We don't have the time, the ability or the talent. You have to have someone steering the ship. We are doing the right thing by authorizing to hire someone. Everyone is welcome to come and listen to the discussion. I am sure it will be pretty lively. Mayor Rinker encouraged everyone to attend. It is at 7:00 tomorrow at Civic Hall. Council President Buckholtz added that he will describe the position and discuss how to advertise for it. We will all be a step ahead if we are there. Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to approve recommendation from Planning & Zoning for a Conditional Use Permit for Hardbody Fitness Center at 700 Beta Drive. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mr. Marrelli indicated that he expected Greg Baka to be here this evening. Hardbody Fitness Center is not like a Bali's. This is a one-on-one coach and student field. A lot of these personal trainers have clientele. They take their client to the Hardbody Fitness Center and use the facility. It would be the trainer and student meeting there, doing their workouts and teaching. Other than that, there is an office set up which is half of the Hardbody Fitness Center. It has nothing to do with fitness. It is a software company that has put together the software for car dealerships. He has developed software that all of the dealerships are using to keep track of customers, equipment, and the newest and latest innovation. The office use will be in the back and the exercise studio will be in the front. It will be next to the dance studio. Council President Buckholtz said if he read correctly, it is by appointment only, there are certain hours. Mr. Marrelli said that is correct.
