This is lower than previous <br />years. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Expenditure Authorized <br />First Reading of Ordinance No.: 2008-36, entitled, "An emergency ordinance <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Purchase Agreement for the acquisition of 6532 <br />White Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a <br />Whole. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2008-36. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mrs. Mills stated this is the one we discussed in Finance. We wanted some open dialogue <br />on this, especially from the Mayor, about the purchase of this property and why. <br />Mayor Rinker asked, you don't know why, has everyone forgotten? Mrs. Mills said the <br />other Councilmen want to know. <br />Mr. Saponaro said no one has forgotten why at all. He does not think we need to go into <br />why again. Mayor Rinker asked what the question is. Mr. Saponaro said the question is, <br />why now? We are talking about, our Finance Director said we have money in that account <br />so we can use it if we need to, but we don't need to use it because we have it in that <br />account. <br />Mayor Rinker asked who said we are using it because we have it in the account. Mr. <br />Saponaro stated that no one said that. Mayor Rinker said he is trying to understand the <br />question. Mr. Saponaro asked Mayor Rinker to let him speak and he will be clear with <br />him. Mayor Rinker said he is waiting. Mr. Saponaro said he will take a moment. Mayor <br />Rinker said while he is thinking, because the question was asked of the Mayor, - Mr. <br />Saponaro stated he is thinking because it is very clear when someone does not agree with <br />what you said, you get very curt and you take personal affront to what goes on.
