Organizational Meeting Minutes <br />1-5-04 <br />Page 5 <br />Mr. Marrie requested the March ineeting-especially the first one which happens to be March <br />lst, if that could be moved to March 8-if not, if it's not pleasing to the majority of the group <br />here, maybe go to Tuesday, March 2"a <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will take that under advisement and we will confirm that <br />next week. <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Dr. Parker thanked everyone for their support. Over the past 8 years, I have had the honor to be <br />Ward 3 Councilman and work with inany fine individuals. This Council and this Mayor has <br />made wonderful, positive changes to this community. I am looking forward to us all achieving <br />great things in the future, too. <br />Mr. Thomas reported the Parks & Recreation Department has a ski trip scheduled for Martin <br />Luther King Day. The deadline to sign up for that trip is this Friday. <br />Mr. Marquardt said this will start my 3rd term. I would like to thank the support of Council and <br />the community. <br />Mr. Saponaro said he would like to thank his family (as he introduced his wife Monica, sons, <br />mother and father-in-law and other family members in the audience) for all being here <br />supporting me and I would like to thank inembers of Council and this community. I look forward <br />to rolling up my sleeves and getting to the work at hand to make this great community even <br />better. Thank you. Mrs. Mills said I am looking forward to having a very productive year with this Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Diemert extended best wishes to everyone for a very happy new year and a very successful <br />term in office. <br />Mr. Samac expressed thanks on behalf of the Building Department to the Wage Negotiating <br />Committee and Council members for passing a nice, fair, equitable wage package. We appreciate <br />it very much and we will try to earn every penny. <br />Council President Buckholtz said he will be working on the Committee Appointments. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Council President Buckholtz said after this meeting is adjourned, there will be a brief ineeting of <br />the Mayfield Coirununity Improvement Corporation. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a inotion to adjourn. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried
