Regular Council Meeting
1-26-04
Page 19
? Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
First Reading of Ordinance No. 2004-08, entitled; "An emergency ordinance pertaining to the
wages, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment for employees of Mayfield Village,
Ohio, for the calendar years 2003-2005, repealing all ordinances inconsistent herewith." Introduced
by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an
ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2004-08.
Mrs. Mills noted a correction in the ordinance title (it was written as years 2003-205 instead of 2003-
2005. Correction made.)
There was no further discussion.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
, Ordinance Enacted
OPEN PORTION - 3-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state
their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under
"New Business" only.
There were no comments.
ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL
There were no further matters before Council.
CLOSING COMMENTS
Council President Buckholtz said he had a memo that he wanted everyone to get but his email
wasn't working Friday. He had asked Chief Dearden at the last meeting to look into the traffic
problem going into Mayfield High School from Wilson Mills Road; I was thinking it would take
a million police and public servants from all walks of life to solve it and Chief Dearden said he
would meet with the signal people and lengthen the time of that turn signal going in and see if
that affects it. I must tell you there is no longer a problem going up Wilson Mills Road-and I
can't tell you how bad it was-for the eastbound traffic that wants to turn north onto Miner-
there is still a problem on the school property. It pays to speak up and have a Police Chief that is
listening to take care of the problem.
