Three tours are scheduled for our spring lunch. The
quilters and library staff ineet each Monday. The raffle quilt is being completed for the October
Quilt Show. Our annual membership drive is on. Please consider and support our efforts in the
community. The cost is $5 for a single member and $10 for a family.
M.A.R.C. - Mr. Saponaro said there was a meeting held on February 12. At this meeting, they
elected the officers for the upcoming year, they approved the 2004 budget and talked about
various issues. Two major issues were that the MBA Program is at maximum enrollment and that
facility usage is very tight so we will have to figure that out as the future comes.
Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said no meeting; no report.
Planning and Zonin? - Mr. Marquardt said Planning & Zoning met February 2. It was an Organizational Meeting. Jim Farmer was elected Chairman; Ralph Newman as Chairman Pro
Tem; Wes Marrotte is Board of Appeals representative and Deborah Garbo Secretary. The other
2 items discussed are on our agenda tonight. The first one is for the BME Investments Lot Split
on Upper 40. That was recommended for approval but it should be noted that the
recommendation was for the lot split portion of the drawing only. There are other features on
that drawing that were not recommended for approval at this time by Planning & Zoning. The
_ other item on the agenda is Skoda, Minotti. That item was recommended for approval including
the memo that Bernie had attached to it with a number of details and pending a resolution of
some lighting issues that were brought up at the meeting and were to be worked on by Bernie
and the residents. We will have a workshop on February 19.
Recreation Board - Dr. Parker said the Recreation Board will meet on Wednesday, February 18
at 7:30 p.m. The following items will be discussed: the review of the 2004 Parks & Recreation
Brochure, update and planning of Easter Party on March 27; the Debbie Hudacko Scholarship;
development of the fields south of Parkview Pool; upgrade of Wiley Park. The next meeting will
be March 24 at 7 p.m.
Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said no meeting; no report.
SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS:
S.O.M. Widening Committee - Mrs. Mills deferred to Mr. Metzung. Mr. Metzung said they
continue to work on the water lines. South of Highland Road they have run into a few snags that
need to be worked out. The contractor has requested additional night work. We will have to
rectify the noise concerns before we move forward on that. Storm sewer work continues on the
north end of the project; getting ready to do east side pavement work come spring. (Phase 2
work.)
Council President Buckholtz asked if the information is on the web yet.
?
