Regular Council Meeting <br />2-16-04 <br />Page 4 <br />? <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills - said Mr. Plastine reports the following: housecleaning projects <br />are in progress at the Historical House. Three tours are scheduled for our spring lunch. The <br />quilters and library staff ineet each Monday. The raffle quilt is being completed for the October <br />Quilt Show. Our annual membership drive is on. Please consider and support our efforts in the <br />community. The cost is $5 for a single member and $10 for a family. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Saponaro said there was a meeting held on February 12. At this meeting, they <br />elected the officers for the upcoming year, they approved the 2004 budget and talked about <br />various issues. Two major issues were that the MBA Program is at maximum enrollment and that <br />facility usage is very tight so we will have to figure that out as the future comes. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said no meeting; no report. <br />Planning and Zonin? - Mr. Marquardt said Planning & Zoning met February 2. It was an Organizational Meeting. Jim Farmer was elected Chairman; Ralph Newman as Chairman Pro <br />Tem; Wes Marrotte is Board of Appeals representative and Deborah Garbo Secretary. The other <br />2 items discussed are on our agenda tonight. The first one is for the BME Investments Lot Split <br />on Upper 40. That was recommended for approval but it should be noted that the <br />recommendation was for the lot split portion of the drawing only. There are other features on <br />that drawing that were not recommended for approval at this time by Planning & Zoning. The <br />_ other item on the agenda is Skoda, Minotti. That item was recommended for approval including <br />the memo that Bernie had attached to it with a number of details and pending a resolution of <br />some lighting issues that were brought up at the meeting and were to be worked on by Bernie <br />and the residents. We will have a workshop on February 19. <br />Recreation Board - Dr. Parker said the Recreation Board will meet on Wednesday, February 18 <br />at 7:30 p.m. The following items will be discussed: the review of the 2004 Parks & Recreation <br />Brochure, update and planning of Easter Party on March 27; the Debbie Hudacko Scholarship; <br />development of the fields south of Parkview Pool; upgrade of Wiley Park. The next meeting will <br />be March 24 at 7 p.m. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said no meeting; no report. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />S.O.M. Widening Committee - Mrs. Mills deferred to Mr. Metzung. Mr. Metzung said they <br />continue to work on the water lines. South of Highland Road they have run into a few snags that <br />need to be worked out. The contractor has requested additional night work. We will have to <br />rectify the noise concerns before we move forward on that. Storm sewer work continues on the <br />north end of the project; getting ready to do east side pavement work come spring. (Phase 2 <br />work.) <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if the information is on the web yet. <br />?
