Regular Council Meeting <br />2-16-04 <br />Page 3 .. <br />COMNNIENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BUCKHOLTZ <br />Council President Buckholtz said he had no comments at this time. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />William Thomas (Parks & Recreation) - reported this past Saturday we had ideal conditions for <br />our Ice Daze at Mayfield Village Outdoor Ice Rink. We had over 100 participants from 1-3 p.m. <br />This was attributed to a front-page article in the Sun Messenger, fliers to Center School and great <br />weather. Special thanks to Play It Again Sports who brought down ice skates for people to rent and <br />Bert and George of our Service Department who did a great job setting up. The spring/summer <br />Parks & Recreation Brochure was mailed to all Mayfield Village and Gates Mills residents this past <br />Friday. As a result of our bulk mailing permit, we saved $1,200-1,400. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman reported the Committee met last week and are eagerly <br />awaiting the Appreciation Dinner a week from Saturday. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met last week and approved the <br />Skoda, Minotti addition. <br />? Board of Auueals - Mr. Samac said we had no meeting; the Board will meet tomorrow. <br />Cemetery - Mr. Saponaro said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Saponaro said there was no report (no meeting.) <br />Commission on Asting - Mrs. Mills read the report from Mrs. Kalina (attached.) <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco said the committee hasn't met in <br />the past few months and she hasn't received any requests from residents. She asked Mr. Metzung <br />if he had. (He said he has not.) Mrs. Cinco said she wrote an article for the Voice of the Village <br />so hopefully if any of our citizens are in need of repairs, we will receive their requests. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said no meeting; no report. <br />Finance Committee - Mrs. Mills said the Finance Committee met this evening and <br />recommended the following items for approval: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The committee did not discuss <br />agenda items 6 and 7 because they were not Finance Committee items. The committee also <br />recommended items 8 & 9. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Saponaro reminded everyone that the breakfast meeting is <br />? this Saturday at 9 a.m. at Landerhaven for everyone who has signed up for that. <br />__ ' .
