Regular Council Minutes
3-15-04
Page 16
Dr. Parker asked about making the area look nicer.
Mrs. Mills said Donna has been working on that. Mayor Rinker said yes; we are working on that
now. We think our O.D.O.T. contact is more receptive. These are all good ideas and in varying
degrees things we are working on. I think the best way is to do some kind of flyer. You can pick
a time that looks advantageous to the neighborhood. It is a good idea. It has been a while since
we have done anything like that.
Mr. Metzung said the Service Department went up and down Wilson Mills but we don't go up
onto the freeway per se.
Side discussions were held.
Mr. Marrie suggested a program like "adopt a ramp."
Mr. Saponaro said the other suggestion I have is, when we have folks in the audience, could we
have a sign-in sheet so that we know who is attending. I think it is important to make sure we
know who the citizens are that are coming here.
Council President Buckholtz said a volunteer sign-in sheet; not mandatory.
Mrs. Mills said you might want to contact the high school about community service [about
cleaning up by the freeway.] They work at the Cemetery and Historical House. They would have
to have adult supervision to do that.
Mayor Rinker likes idea of making it an event.
Council President Buckholtz thinks we can make a whole Spring event.
CLOSING COMMENTS
There were no additional comments.
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to adjourn.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried

?
