Regular Council Minutes <br />3-15-04 <br />Page 6 <br />OLD'BUSINESS <br />OPEN PORTION <br />There were no comments. <br />44=Reading of Ordinance No. 2004-06, entitled; "An emergency ordinance amending Codified <br />Ordinances of Mayfield Village regarding the possession of certain weapons in public places." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 1/26/04; Second Reading <br />2/16/04.) <br />Ms. Calta said we will leave Ordinance 2004-06 on second reading until Council receives the <br />amended Ordinance. <br />Ordinance 2004-06 to remain on second reading. <br />OPEN PORTION - 3-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first <br />state their naine and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items <br />under "Old Business" only. <br />Alvin Krenzler, 28099 North Woodland Road, Pepper Pike said I am here on behalf of <br />Ordinance 2004-16, an emergency Ordinance approving a preliminary site or development plan of <br />property that I own. I appeared before the Planning Commission last month and they approved the <br />preliminary plan. I appeared before the work session of Council last week and have submitted copies <br />of all our drawings to Planning Commission and Council. It is on the agenda tonight. I could make a <br />full presentation again or I would be happy to answer any questions. <br />Council President Buckholtz said thank you, Judge. I appreciate you being here. I think we are all <br />well acquainted with the plans. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"New Business" only. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked Mr. Brett to explain the "super blanket p.o.'s" --- it is not a new <br />product. <br />Mr. Brett said no it is not; it is more a compliance issue with the State Auditors. In the ideal <br />auditor's world, every open p.o. which may or inay not be open for $2,000 would be closed <br />every quarter and that is really not realistic because you don't really start accepting p.o.'s until <br />January 15 or so, so by the time they go through all the paperwork and open, it's about February <br />and so all the ones that we open in the beginning of the year we get ready to close again and we <br />would do same tuniaround where we open a new one and close it.
