Regular Council Minutes
6-28-04
Page 5
0 Mr. Metzung said rubbish collection will remain on schedule on July 5. I will be working
with Donna to get surveys out to residents of the Kenwood/Oakwood area about their
toters. I hope the month of toter use in that neighborhood has been found to be enjoyable
and that we can get toters to the rest of the neighborhood.
• Mr. Metzung said I didn't put it on the agenda that we discuss the soccer fields to the
north of the two fields we have there now--we can construct another full size field at NO
COST to the Village. This time when I say no cost, it is really no cost. They will
provide the seeding and everything so it will be complete when they are done.
0 Mr. Metzung said I request authorization to go to bid for street striping for this year.
• Mr. Metzung addressed Mr. Hovancsek and said Mr. Hovancsek is truly and genuinely
one of the good people that you'll ever meet. Steve, I appreciate everything you have
ever done for me.
Mrs. Cinco clarified that street striping was not on the agenda (to go out for bid.)
Council President Buckholtz thanked Mr. Metzung for the work you are doing on the properties
at Joyce and Wilson Mills. I just want Council to know, too, that it is the homeowners
association that was really putting that plan together. They are really appreciative of your
cooperation and they will be doing the planting. There are several residents who are very good
:
at that--Mary Beth Zatko.
Mr. Metzung said they asked us to build the bed and put the sign up; then we are going to get out
of the way.
Council President Buckholtz said once again, get those homeowners associations going and let's
do these beautification projects all over. It's a great thing. We get a lot of great feedback from
that.
Building - Mr. Marrelli said just a brief update of things that are going on around town:
s We have 3 new offices being built down on Wilson Mills in Mr. Argie's building-Mr.
Argie the law firm.
• Skoda, Minotti is in the framing stages; they are about 25% complete at this point.
• We started a new house on Echo Drive; the foundation is in as of yesterday.
• Progressive Building #4 is reaching a 90% completion with an expected September
occupancy. .Progressive's Building #4 garage will be ready for occupancy this
Wednesday or Thursday-we'll try to remove some of that traffic off of the street there.
And the Wilson Mills building-6300--a113 floors are now occupied; there's a couple of
things left as far as fire protection, as far as smoke evacuation system which should be
{ checked-I think--
?--
Chief Mohr starting tomorrow.
