Regular Council Minutes 7-19-04 Page 11 ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Resolution Adopted Resolution No. 2004-19, entitled; "A Resolution of Appreciation to Bernie Samac." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2004-19. ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried Resolution Adopted NAYS: None 1 OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under "New Business" only. ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL Mrs. Cinco asked what is happening with street striping bids. Mr. Cappello said we will advertise and it will be on the next agenda for approval. CLOSING COMMENTS Mrs. Cinco said regarding Dr. Price's proclamation, I don't remember us getting a resolution of appreciation from the School Board [or anyone] before. That was really nice. Mayor Rinker asked, when was the last time we sent someone to the Leadership Academy? Mr. Marrie said he went two years ago. Mayor Rinker said good. Glad we've got two going this time. It is a nice opportunity to see what's out there. Council President Buckholtz said if anyone needs to get in touch with me in the next 3 weeks, I will be out of the country [Africa.] Everyone extended wishes for a safe trip. ADJOURNMENT Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adjoui~. Marge Eisenberg of Seneca Road, (in the audience) said I would like to invite you to ride behind J&J Refuse to see the rubbish they leave behind. My street looks like a tornado hit it. Everybody is out there sweeping up and picking up all the rubbish that has blown that has not been picked up. It is worse than the last one that we had so I invite you to ride down the street after they've been down and please look for yourself.
