Regular Council Minutes <br />7-19-04 <br />Page 10 <br />Mr. Diemert read the context of the ordinance for clarification. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2004-34. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 2004-17, entitled; "An emergency resolution declaring the <br />necessity for providing the payment of street lighting and the improvement or installation of <br />additional lighting by Special Assessment of all Parcels Benefited." Introduced by Mayor <br />Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring <br />a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2004-17. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Brett said we are reducing the assessment by approximately 20% so the expected millage <br />from the Village alone is continuing to go down. We do this every 2 years. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution No. 2004-18, entitled; "A Resolution of Appreciation to Donna Zimmerman." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mrs. Mills and Mr. Marrie said she was citizen of the year for Mayfield School District; her <br />parents live on Thornapple.
