Regular Council Minutes
9-27-04
Page 22
instead we went with a more premium backfill to allow them to continue to work and get a better
product. In the end it will give us a better product. And there were other gas line conflicts where
things got in the way, sanitary sewer; again this was the larger one-the $15,000 Sanitary
Sewer-the $13,000--that would be the connection from the Fire Department to S.O.M. Center
Road; these are ongoing change orders and things that come up. We will continue to have these
as the project moves forward. They have to be dealt with in the field and brought to Council at a
later date.
Council President Buckholtz asked, any questions regarding any other these items?
There were none.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
• A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $9,900 to URS for Task #1-
Preparation of a Park Master Plan for Future Buildout of Parkview Ballfields Area
Mr. Thomas asked Council to put a hold on this item tonight.
Mr. Metzung said I have requested that Bill hold up on this because I have some concerns about it.
Mr. Thomas said and I support those concerns.
Council President Buckholtz said bring it to Caucus or whenever you are ready, bring it back.
No action was taken to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $9,900 to URS for Task #1-
Preparation of a Park Master Plan for Future Buildout of Parkview Ballfields Area.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEM.
• A motion to authorize a Change Order in the amount of $4,129.65 to Great Lakes
Construction for Pole Support to Facilitate Waterline Construction
Mr. Metzung said this goes back to a change order where we had to have the poles supported in front
of Fisher's Tavern. This was actually part of Change Order 2; the paperwork didn't arrive in time so
we did two parts of Change Order #2 which was the conduit for Miller Cable and the conduit also
for irrigation of the medians. This should have been part of that; the information didn't arrive in time
so this is the third part of that Change Order #2. Just to bring history into this, we had originally
done a request for $34,000 to CEI to hold all the poles. Obviously, that is no longer needed and it is
just the $4,000 to Great Lakes Construction.
Mrs. Cinco said this was approved in Finance.
Council President Buckholtz asked, any other questions?

1

There were none.
