Regular Council Minutes <br />9-27-04 <br />Page 31 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2004-24. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any comments. <br />Mr. Brett said this is a housekeeping measure for our IRS purposes. <br />Mr. Saponaro clarified the resolution numbers as 2004-24 for the Fire Department and 2004-25 <br />for the Police Department (which were transposed on the agenda.) <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 2004-25, entitled; "An emergency restated resolution of the <br />Council of Mayfield Village of Cuyahoga County, Ohio for the Police Department." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2004- 25. <br />Council President Buckholtz said this was for housekeeping measures. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution No. 2004-26, entitled; "A Resolution in Support of the 5.5 Mill Levy for the <br />Mayfield City School District." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />This item was considered and adopted at the beginning of the meeting. <br />Resolution No. 2004-27, entitled; "An emergency resolution in support of State Clean <br />Ohio Fund (Issue I) and urging its current and ongoing funding." Introduced by Mayor <br />Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring <br />an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mr. Brett said rumor has it that the Governor is not going to fund Clean Ohio Funds for possibly <br />rounds 3 and rounds 4 inasmuch as we cooperated on probably a million and a half dollars worth <br />of projects for round 3, that wouldn't behoove the Village very much and we have found that this <br />is a good source of funds for the Village for things like Upper 40, the Beechers Brook <br />acquisition, Foster's Run. It really has enabled the Village to address issues that had gone <br />decades unresolved in which we would not be able to afford were we to try to do it with our own <br />funds so Issue 1 has been very, very good to us..... <br />Mayor Rinker said I can't resist. Think about what we have been able to do. The purchase of the <br />Falkner property was facilitated that way, coordination of what we've done at Wiley segueing <br />into what we are doing south of the swimming pool; the relationships we have established with <br />
