Regular Council Minutes <br />10-18-04 <br />Page 2 <br />Mayor Rinker said we have a captive audience so why don't we just go through the regular <br />meeting. the meeting should be pretty quick. We have an oath of office and another momentous <br />occasion. It is good to see everybody here but hang loose. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES: Regular Council Meeting -September 27.2004 (as corrected <br />Mrs. Mills , seconded by Dr. Parker , made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER -Oath of OfficeBOA Appointment: Joseph Prcela <br />Mayor Rinker said some of you may know that one of our longstanding residents Ed Sullivan <br />decided to move to "new digs" and left us in the lurch a little bit but only for a little while. Joe <br />Prcela has been very involved in his neighborhood and has gotten involved in a number of other <br />community affairs. I thought he would be a natural to fill some pretty big shoes. I am very happy <br />to say that Joe agreed to sign up; he will be filling Ed's vacancy. I know from personal <br />experience we will be able to do this without skipping a beat. While we wish Ed very well it is <br />real good to know that Joe can step right in with the understanding that Council will approve the <br />motion----I think we ought to do the vote first---- <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to approve Mayor Rinker's appointment of <br />Joseph Prcela to the Board of Appeals to complete the term vacated by Edward Sullivan. (Note: <br />The term will expire December 31, 2004.) <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Appointment Confirmed <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to Joseph Prcela as a member of the Board of <br />Appeals. <br />Mayor Rinker said just so you know the first meeting got canceled. (Note: A meeting had been <br />scheduled for October 19.) <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BUCKI30LTZ <br />Council President Buckholtz said I have no comments other than to welcome members of the <br />2020 Vision Committee.
