Regular Council Minutes
10-18-04
Page 8
:NEW :BUSINESS
Motion to Amend Ordinance 2004-40
Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2004-40:
entitled; "An emergency ordinance amending Codified Ordinance Section 1183.05
relating to the schedule of required off-street parking spaces." (First Reading 9/27/04.)
Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Mr. Diemert said if we could, Mr. President, the amendment would be to subparagraph 10 under
Section 1, under 1183.05; it was intended by the Building Commissioner that the one space per
100 actually be amended to one space per 150 square feet consistent with subparagraph 11. That
was inadvertently omitted so you' d want to move to amend the new version to reflect that.
Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to amend Ordinance 2004-40 as stated
above by Mr. Diemert.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Amended
Council President Buckholtz questioned if the ordinance should be left on second read.
Mr. Diemert said unless there are snore questions, there is no reason to.
Mr. Marrie said I don't know that there is any reason to keep it on second unless John feels there
is, but I doubt it.
Mr. Marrelli said no; I think we've got it all wrapped up.
Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an
ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance 2004-40 (as amended.)
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
There were no comments.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted (as amended)
