Regular Council Minutes <br />11-15-04 <br />Page 2 <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to amend the agenda to include the <br />above-mentioned items. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker welcomed Alma Winkle and her daughter Dona in the audience. <br />Resolution No. 2004-29, entitled; "A Resolution of Appreciation to Alma Winkle." <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2004-29. <br />Mayor Rinker shared how he met Alma Winkle on Beech Hill when hewas anewly-elected <br />Mayor in 1993 and was knocking on doors after a tempestuous summer storm. She shared her <br />difficulties she faced in the neighborhood and having that connection with Mayfield Village <br />government was important. That always stuck in my mind the need for us to maintain contact <br />with our friends and neighbors. I was heartened when she joined a year or two later. Eunice is <br />here. <br />Mayor Rinker read the resolution of appreciation. Alma is unfortunately going to be leaving. <br />We wish you the best and know things will turn out well. <br />Mrs. Winkle thanked Mayor Rinker and Council for the resolution. She said I wanted to let you <br />know how wonderful it is to have our Mayor and personnel maintain this place to live and <br />caring for each other. She expressed thanks to all departments for making this the most ideal <br />place that anybody could live. She is sorry to have to leave but it is a time in her life where she <br />needs to make a change and start a new chapter. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL, PRESIDENT BUCHI30LTZ <br />Council President Buckholtz had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />DouElas Metzun~ (Service) <br />Mr. Metzung said leaf pick-up is continuing until sometime in December. We began a section of <br />sidewalk repair in the Aintree area and found the television cable ran underneath the sidewalk at <br />one residence. Until we get that cleared up, we will be holding up on repairing sidewalks but am <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
