Regular Council Minutes
12-6-04
Page 8
Information & Technology
Mr. Marrie said Chief Mohr has reported that the computer work is already done on the first
floor. They will be working on the second floor today where Phil and his staff and others will be.
All this work will be done by Thursday so we will be able to go with the next phase which is on
the agenda tonight which we already discussed before. 'The item is already on agenda but we said
we'd take them one at a time. The new system we'll be putting in for the phones and the
upgrades. The phone system will cost us $9,100 to implement but will save us $13,000 a year for
every year after this so in the first year alone we are getting all of our money back and then some
by putting this in and getting a much better system that we have today. So that is on the agenda.
On Tech on Call, I think Chief Mohr will agree they've been right "on the money" for everything
they said they were going to do and right on time. So, hopefully, we can get that passed and with
some of the other things done at the Civic Center, we can get the staff over there pretty soon.
OLD BUSINESS
• January Meeting Schedule - 2005
Council President Buckholtz said as we stated earlier, the Organizational Meeting will be
January 3, the Caucus will be on January 10 and Regular Council Meeting on January 24.
OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair.
