Regular Council Meeting Minutes <br />1-20-09 <br />Page 10 <br />for the Anniversary Party in May. We discussed feedback on the increased admission cost. There <br />seemed to be a few people who would like to mention things to the Commission members and <br />not to Mrs. Kalina and that's okay. Our next meeting is March 3rd <br />I)rainne & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco stated that there is no report. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on Monday, January Sth <br />At that time, we deferred any action on the oil and gas well leases. We discussed the replacement <br />of car 655 from the fire department along with the pick-up truck. Also we discussed design build <br />bids for the police station. <br />Finance Committee - Mrs. Mills referred to Mr. Marrie because he is now Chairman of the <br />Finance Committee. Mr. Marrie reported that we met this evening and we covered 18 items, all <br />of which are on your program for the meeting this evening. Mr. Marrie pointed out that <br />Ordinance 2008-25 and 26 were left on second read and 2008-49 and 50 were left on first read. <br />There will be a meeting on February 2°d with Diane Calta from our legal department and the Fire <br />Chief from Gates Mills to discuss and finalize this hopefully for our February 16th meeting. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills reported that the Historical Society had a water pipe break in the <br />house in the foyer. They have hot water heat. Luckily A1 Muhle who is the house chairman <br />happened to visit the house and found the pipe broken. We had a lot of water damage, but it is <br />something we can take care of ourselves, like wet carpeting and things like that. We are going to <br />go down Saturday and have a work day and scrub and clean it all up. Mrs. Mills did call and <br />have Susan check out about our insurance. We have a$1,000.00 deductible. We won't have <br />$1,000.00 worth of damage so it would not be worth proceeding with an insurance claim. This is <br />the first time we have ever had something like this happen. The foyer sets out by itself. With this <br />extreme cold weather, the heater which is right on the outside wall, that's how the pipe broke. <br />We are in command of that and we will handle that. Ted has worked on a grant to Ohio <br />Humanities so we can start with the third grade classes. Center School will be coming. We will <br />have 54 students on Januaxy 30th and also on February 5t" from Center School. We have to get <br />the house in order for the children. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker stated that there was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Ordinance Review Commattee - Mr. Marquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on <br />Tuesday, January 13t where they discussed and recommended approval of the ordinance <br />amendments that you see on the back of the agenda as well as the new ordinance for a service <br />agreement with LifeForce Management. All of those were recommended for approval at that <br />meeting. <br />Plannin-a and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt reported that Planning and Zoning had a workshop on <br />Thursday the 15 where they reviewed the conditional and special use permits. They will be <br />voting on that at their meeting on February 2°a
