Regular Council Meeting Minutes
1-20-09
Page 19
said there is a date in the ordinance of March 1" for start up. Chief Mohr added that we
anticipated taking this to three reads. Mayor Rinker said Mr. Marquardt has a good point. The
fact is we are moving slowly. Part of this is groundhog day effect. Each day is a new day all over
again. Mayor Rinker is trying not to sound too glib, but it has taken us a while to get everyone on
the same page. We are not quite there yet. But from our standpoint, Dave and Diane Calta have
both been spending an inordinate amount of time working through it. As you all know, from our
standpoint, this is a culmination of just about three years worth of effort on our part. We are
almost there. Mayor Rinker is hoping that next month we will be able to get there. From the
standpoint of how we. handle this, it would be more politic for us to keep this on current reading.
Mayor Rinker appreciates it. We think the mechanism is right, but we still have to make a
meeting of the minds.
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to adjourn.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 9:15 p.m. The next Council meeting is
scheduled for Monday, February 16, 2009 at 8:00 p.m
WILLIAM BUCKHOLTZ, COUNCIL
J?
MARY .
