Regular Council Meeting Minutes <br />4-20-09 <br />Page 16 <br />PARKS & RECREATION - Bill Thomas <br />There was no report. <br />ARCHITECT - Ron DiNardo <br />There was no report. <br />HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina <br />Mrs. Kalina reported that she would like to invite people to their next Senior Speaker Series <br />event which will be May 6t'. We will have someone from Cleveland Sight Center speaking on <br />seniors with vision loss and remaining independent and safe. It is in conjunction with the <br />program they are having at Villa Serena in Mayfield Heights. They have a trip May 15t' to <br />Carrie Cerrinos to see a group called Red Hot and Blue. They have their anniversary party on <br />May 30tn <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />? <br />J <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Committee met on the 7th of this month and <br />discussed the Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast. Everyone is invited to that. We also discussed <br />the summer concerts. They are all in place. The bands have been hired. July Sth fireworks are in <br />place. This is the last year on the three year contract so we will have to go in negotiations next <br />year for fireworks. We a1so, because Bill Thomas was there, we discussed the Community <br />Garden which could possibly become a reality this yeaz or probably next year. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that Architectural Review Board met last <br />week. There was one item on the agenda and that was to replace the signage of the defunct realty <br />company on the corner of Beta and Wilson Mills with Howard Hanna who has taken over. That <br />was approved. <br />Beautification Committee- Council President .Buckholtz reported that there was a meeting on <br />March 9t . He does not know when the next meeting is, but we will get that to everybody as <br />soon as we know. <br />Board of Anpeals - Mr. Marrelli reported that the Board of Appeals did not meet in the last <br />month or so. We will meet tomorrow. We have one item. <br />Cemeterv - There was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Marrie reported that they had a meeting last week. A couple of <br />the items that were discussed was the location of the new police department and the bids going <br />out for the police station. Also, they discussed the Community Garden. There was some talk or <br />suggestions of putting it by, the fire station where the empty lot is. That was discussed, not settled
