Regular Council Meeting Minutes <br />6-15-09 <br />Page 13 <br />SPECIAL COMMI'I'TEE REPORTS: <br />Planniniz Development Committee - The meeting was postponed. Another meeting will be <br />scheduled very soon. Mayor Rinker said he thought Diane was getting another date for the next <br />couple of weeks. <br />Information & Technology - Council President Buckholtz reported that the Committee has not <br />had a need to meet at this point but we will be. <br />Records Comtnission - Mrs. Mills reported that Records Commission met last week. We <br />discussed Shred Day. We decided to have another one in October 2009. Mrs. Mills asked Mrs. <br />Betsa if she got a date on that yet. Mrs. Betsa is waiting to hear from the representative. Mrs. <br />Mills continued, we discussed the handling of records and requests by the different departments. <br />We have a schedule that they are adhering too. They are doing a very good job with that. There <br />is some revisions to the retention schedule which we are keeping up with. The update on the <br />training class that was held here May 215t was very well attended. The next meeting will be on <br />August 12th <br />Health Care Task Force - Mrs. Mills said she does not know if it is necessary to have that on <br />here yet because that's an entity all its own now. You might want to think about taking it off. <br />Council President Buckholtz said we can do that. <br />Council President Buckholtz understands the Civil Service Commission met as well on the 12`n <br />Minutes will be sent out shortly. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. <br />Tinird Reading of Ordinance No. 2009-19, entitled "An Emergency Ordinance creating <br />Section 139.06 of Chapter 139 entitled Police Department." Introduced by Mayor Rinker <br />and Council as a Whole. (First Reading - April 20, 2009; Second Reading - May 18, <br />2009) <br />This Ordinance is ready to be passed. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2009-19. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. There were no comments <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Ordinance Enacted
