Regular Council Meeting Minutes
12-21-09
Page 20
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2009-57.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
Mayor Rinker stated that this is one of two properties that straddle the current Thornapple Pump
Sta.tion which is to be plucked out of there after so many years of use. It is going to be relocated
to the circle at Ravine and sunken down into the center. The general circle will become the
utility access point. There aze about 7 properties downstream from the current pump that are
directly affected. They will be tied in by the County to this new shunt line that goes to this pump
station. Our goal eventually is the properties that we have, the front and back of this site, are
properties we would look to put back on to the market when it's an opportune time. Mr. Ballash
is in there. He has been able to do some kind of work. We have decided it made better sense to
put him on a Lease basis. The house had kind of gone to seed with the fortner owner. This is the
way to get it back up to speed. We looked to a rental provision that will be able to offset those
but keep it on track.
Dr. Parker asked, we have the liquidity of a month to month lease anyway, correct? Mayor
Rinker replied, conect. It's liquidity and it's a good benchmazk.
First Reading of Ordinance No: 2009-58, entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance
amending Section 505.11 of the Village's Codified Ordinances pertaining to liability
insurance requirements for dangerous and vicious dogs." Introduced by Mayor Rinker
and Council as a Whole.
Council President Buckholtz asked if we wanted to suspend this. Mr. Marquardt replied, it is up
to Council. You can do all of these if you want. Council President Buckholtz stated, might as
well, it's the end of the year.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2009-58.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
_y?
