Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />March 20, 2006 <br />Page 4 <br />That will allow access at least to our Upper 40 residents. The only access for the residents will <br />be to go north in to Willoughby Hills via River Road and Chardon. <br />FINANCE - Phillip Brett <br />There was no report. <br />POLICE - Chief Dearden <br />Chief Dearden reported as a follow up to the discussion had at Caucus regarding the <br />Architectural Committee for the police station. He made contact with Norm Cassini from RCU. <br />He has a meeting set up with him for Wednesday afternoon to give him the details that have been <br />put in to place as far as the lot that has been designated as a potential site. He will be making <br />contact with Council and the Mayor to present a proposal for their services for this project. <br />PARKS & RECREATION - Bill Thomas <br />Mr. Thomas reported that we started with 95 applicants for our Youth/Adult Sports <br />Coordinator. We narrowed it down to 16 and then to 5. Now we have 2 candidates and hope to <br />have a recommendation by Wednesday or Thursday of this week. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Activities Committee will be meeting on <br />Wednesday, March 22"d at 6:00 p.m. in the Civic Center. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that there was no Architectural Review <br />Board meeting, therefore there is no report. <br />Beautification Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that the Beautification Committee met on <br />March 13t . It was a very good first meeting. Discussion included a lot of items such as the <br />Ordinance and how we are supposed to follow it and proceed as a committee. He hopes everyone <br />has an opportunity to read the Minutes to see how we are moving things forward. The next <br />meeting is scheduled for April lOth at 7:00 p.m. at Civic Hall. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli indicated that there was no meeting, so there is no report. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills indicated that there was no meeting, so there is no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Saponaro reported that the next Citizen's Advisory meeting <br />will be held on Monday, March 27t" at 7:00 p.m. at Civic Hall. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills read the report from Eunice Kalina, Human Services <br />Director, attached.
