Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Apri124, 2006 <br />Page 11 <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Storrnwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco reported that there is a meeting <br />scheduled this Friday at 8:00 a.m. at the Service Department. No applications were received this <br />year. We will catch up and do all of the projects from last year. Mrs. Cinco is looking forward <br />to seeing the update from Diane. Some projects from last year did not go through due to lack of <br />signing off. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on Monday, April 3ra <br />Discussed was SPAN dues, 911 maintenance contract, the repair and restoration of the fire <br />station grounds and the retention basin and the replacement of carpeting and flooring and <br />painting outside the fire station. All of those items are on the agenda tonight to be passed. For <br />the service department, the purchase of the tractor backhoe and the parking lot for the new <br />softball fields was discussed. Those items are on the agenda this evening. Discussed for parks <br />and recreation was the new youth/adult sports coordinator, paint liner for the field and the <br />rebuilding of the pumps. Again, those are on agenda this evening. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that they had a good meeting. There were 16 items <br />approved to go before Council this evening. The Committee also discussed 6 Ordinances and 2 <br />Resolutions. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills read the report, a copy of which is attached. to these Minutes. <br />Mayor Rinker asked about the status of the fence. Mr. Metzung indicated it is scheduled for this <br />week. Mrs. Mills will advise the representatives. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was no meeting, therefore there was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker reported that a meeting was held on April 6t1i. The new Youth/Adult <br />Sports Coordinator was introduced by Mr. Thomas. Flag football was discussed. The next <br />meeting will be May 11 tn <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported that there was no meeting, therefore , <br />no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt reported that Planning and Zoning had a workshop on <br />Thursday, April 20t . There were three items on the agenda. The first one was Progressive <br />presented a change in their driveway layout for the claim center so that they have one way entry <br />and exit out of that claim center. The second item was a request for extension of the special use <br />permit for the dentist office at S.O.M. and Seneca. This would allow them to remodel and <br />expand that building at that site. The third item was probably the last discussion on guidelines <br />for special use permit evaluations which has been in discussion for several months. There is a <br />meeting on the 8`h to vote on these three issues. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that the Recreation Board will be meeting this <br />Wednesday. A couple of items which will be discussed will be the evaluation of the spring party <br />and Easter Egg Hunt. It was a very big success. Also, the Debbie Hudacko Scholarship Program
