Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />July 17, 2006 <br />Page 7 <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />SERVICE - Douglas Metzun~ <br />Mr. Metzung reported that they continue to work on the shelter at Wiley with Ron <br />Dinardo. <br />After all of the recent flooding that neighbors have experienced in the area, Mayfield <br />Village came out in fairly good shape. They had one area on Seneca that had flooding, but that <br />has been corrected. <br />A request has been received from Aintree Drive regarding removing the concrete from <br />the middle of a resident's cul de sac. They will proceed with that and make sure all residents are <br />in line with that. <br />BUILDING -John Marrelli <br />Mr. Marrelli reported that the chiropractor Dr. Harris successfully moved over to the <br />Carney Building. The Whitehaven office building is about 90% complete. It is looking pretty <br />good. The Progressive inspection facility on Beta Drive is slated to open the second week of <br />August which is only a couple of weeks out. Anew home on Lander Road was approved and <br />construction should start in 30 days. There was one vacant lot that was sold. Work on that will <br />start in a couple of months. <br />ENGINEERING -Tom Cappello <br />Mr. Cappello reported that sewer work on Metropark and Zorn is to begin on Monday, <br />July 24th. <br />PROPERTY MANAGER -Lloyd Chapman <br />There was no report. <br />LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Mr. Diemert <br />There was no report. <br />FIRE - Chief Mohr <br />Chief Mohr reported that since he was unable to attend due to a house fire during the last <br />meeting in June, he was unable to advise everyone that the fire safety house was put in to <br />operation and worked very successfully with its layout. Chief Mohr thanked the community for <br />providing the facility for all of the third graders in Center School. It has also been used with the <br />kids in the park program. It is working out well. <br />
