MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL
September 25, 2006 - 8:00 p.m. .
MAYFIELD VILLAGE CIVIC HALL
The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, September 25, 2006,
at approximately 8:OS p.m. in the Mayfield Village Civic Hall.
Council President Buckholtz called the Council meeting to order.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz
Mrs. Cinco
Mr. Marquardt
Mr. Saponaro
Mrs. Mills
Mr. Marrie
Dr. Parker
Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Ms. Calta, Mr. Cappello,
Chief Dearden, Chief Mohr, Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung,
Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Kalina and Mrs. Betsa
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
Mr. Buckholtz welcomed the Seniors from the Mayfield High School AP Government class who
were in the audience.
OPEN PORTION
5-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address.
Marge Eisenberg
6783 Seneca
Mrs. Eisenberg advised Council that she is disappointed that the street repairs on Seneca,
Bonnieview, Glenview and Beechhill were not put in the budget. If you can plant
trees up and down S.O.M. Center, you can fix the streets. If you can put in the bike trail three times
and spend a million dollars on an underpass, you can fix the storm sewers. If you can buy property
all over this Village, then you can fix the water and drainage problems. Mrs. Eisenberg further
opined to Mayor Rinker that it seemed to her that his agenda comes before the safety and concern of
the residents in this Village, shame on you. Mrs. Eisenberg added to the rest of Council that they
come here to go through an agenda with the Mayor. What about the residents? What about those
streets . They are not going to make it two or three years down the road sitting on the backburner.
Those streets will not collapse, they will cave in because of the underlying water problems and who
