Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council September 25, 2006 Page 13 ~~ 1 Mr. Metzung reported that we have had some difficulty with Mr. Skully completing the projects. Anselmo Landscaping was the next lowest bidder when we went out to bid for these projects. Mr. Metzung recommended we proceed with him to get these projects done or we will have to go to bid and they won't get done until next year. Dr. Parker asked if he can get them done by this year. Mr. Metzung said he indicated that he would get them done. We have used them in the past. He had approximately three or four of the projects when we split these up this year. He completed his projects in a timely fashion. We have used him in the past with good success. Mayor Rinker asked that just for the record, for the students especially because there are some questions about stormwater issues and health and safety issues, what is this in relation to that? Mr. Metzung replied that these two projects revolve around water ponding in residents' yards. They are trapped in backyards. This will allow us to bring in piping to put some sewers in to remove that water from these backyards. Mayor Rinker asked if these are issues that have been reviewed and approved by the Drainage & Infrastructure Committee. Mr. Metzung said they were. Council President Buckholtz asked if the residents would have these projects completed by this year. Mr. Metzung indicated they would. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Contract Cancelled Bid Accepted Motion to authorize cancellation. of contract with Tom Skully on D&I Project 2005-08E and to accept the bid of Anselmo Landscaping in the amount of $13,350.00. Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize cancellation of contract with Tom Skully on D&I Project 2005-08E and to accept the bid of Anselmo Landscaping in the amount of $13,350.00. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. There were no comments. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Contract Cancelled Bid Accepted Motion to authorize acceptance of the bid from Morton Salt for road salt for 2006- 2007 season. Bid price is $35.54 per ton. Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize acceptance of the bid from Morton Salt for road salt for 2006-2007 season. Bid price is $35.54 per ton. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
