Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
September 25, 2006
Page 14
Council President Buckholtz asked how many tons we have. Mr. Metzung indicated 2500 tons.
Mrs. Cinco asked if it would be less this year since we are using something else. Mr. Metzung
stated that is the hope.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Bid Accepted
Motion to authorize going out to bid for construction of new pavilion at Wiley Park.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize going out to bid for
construction of new pavilion at Wiley Park.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
Mr. Saponaro clarified that this is not a new pavilion. As discussed in Finance this is to replace
the existing pavilion. We are still going to use the concrete pad that is in existence right now.
Mr. Metzung indicated that at the base of each post, it has rotten away. In the past, we have gone
back and repaired around it, but it is really getting to the point where it does not seem safe.
As a highlight, Mayor Rinker stated that there has been a lot of coordination of this with the
Historical House. Mr. Negrelli and others have been looking around because of the tie-ins they
have there. There has been good input on what kind of approach to take.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Bidding Authorized
Motion to authorize going out to bid for installation of street lighting on S.O.M.
Center Road.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize going out to bid for installation
of street lighting on S.O.M. Center Road.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
Mr. Saponaro indicated that this was the item that was deferred in Finance because there is a lot
of information provided by Doug. Finance felt that it needed to come on the floor of Council .
and be discussed fully.

0
Mayor Rinker stated that we at least want to get it in front of Council. We met literally this
afternoon. Mr. Metzung has had a number of meetings with CT since the Spring. This is the first
chance Mayor Rinker has had to meet with them and look at some of the drawings and some of
the things they are going to refine. We want to get the ball rolling.
