Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />September 25, 2006 <br />Page 14 <br />Council President Buckholtz asked how many tons we have. Mr. Metzung indicated 2500 tons. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked if it would be less this year since we are using something else. Mr. Metzung <br />stated that is the hope. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Bid Accepted <br />Motion to authorize going out to bid for construction of new pavilion at Wiley Park. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize going out to bid for <br />construction of new pavilion at Wiley Park. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Saponaro clarified that this is not a new pavilion. As discussed in Finance this is to replace <br />the existing pavilion. We are still going to use the concrete pad that is in existence right now. <br />Mr. Metzung indicated that at the base of each post, it has rotten away. In the past, we have gone <br />back and repaired around it, but it is really getting to the point where it does not seem safe. <br />As a highlight, Mayor Rinker stated that there has been a lot of coordination of this with the <br />Historical House. Mr. Negrelli and others have been looking around because of the tie-ins they <br />have there. There has been good input on what kind of approach to take. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Bidding Authorized <br />Motion to authorize going out to bid for installation of street lighting on S.O.M. <br />Center Road. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize going out to bid for installation <br />of street lighting on S.O.M. Center Road. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Saponaro indicated that this was the item that was deferred in Finance because there is a lot <br />of information provided by Doug. Finance felt that it needed to come on the floor of Council . <br />and be discussed fully. <br /> <br />0 <br />Mayor Rinker stated that we at least want to get it in front of Council. We met literally this <br />afternoon. Mr. Metzung has had a number of meetings with CT since the Spring. This is the first <br />chance Mayor Rinker has had to meet with them and look at some of the drawings and some of <br />the things they are going to refine. We want to get the ball rolling. <br />
