Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council September 25, 2006 Page 6 roads like we do every road. Problems arise. There have been a lot of water breaks on that street. We go back and repair them every few years to bring them back up to grade. He does not want anyone to think that the roads are falling in over there. They are not dangerous. It has been a long time since they have been repaved. That can be said for several of our streets. BUILDING -John Marrelli Mr. Marrelli reported that in the near future we will have a new business next door at the Jadd Mall. He met with the owner of Rapid Refill today. Some time in November, you should be able to bring your ink cartridges into the store and they will swap out a new one for your old one. It is like an ink recycling where you bring in your cartridge and get another one. You refill your ink for about half the price of going to Staples. Get ready to save a few dollars on your printer ink. Across the street at the Carney Building, the third bay is going to be opened as Salon Blu. They will have 8-10 stylists and other employees doing nails, pedicures and massages. ENGINEERING -Tom Cappello There was no report. PROPERTY MANAGER -Lloyd Chapman Mr. Chapman was absent for this evening's meeting. LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Ms. Calta There was no report, unless there are any questions. Mr. Buckholtz said he did not think so at this point. FIRE - Chief Mohr Chief Mohr reported that about 78 people came last Friday to a MIPOD meeting from the four communities. Mayor Rinker led our contingent. The Executive Board of the Health Department put on a very nice presentation with information about what we are trying to do. Chief Mohr reminded Council that on Sunday, November 5th, the flu shot program will take place at Mayfield High School. Our plan will be tested during that program. Chief Mohr stated that on the previous Caucus agenda was a Resolution of Appreciation to Bob Jamieson for his 40 years on the fire department. It is not on the agenda for this evening. Chief Mohr asked if the agenda could be amended to include that.
