Regular Council Meeting
1-29-07
Page 25

First Reading of Ordinance No. 2007-03, entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance authorizing and
directing the Mayor to enter into a Lease Agreement with Stephanie Kozel for the purpose of
leasing the real estate located at 6536 Wilson Mills Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio." Introduced
by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council
requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
RULL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Rules Suspended
Mn. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2007-03.
Cauncil President Buckholtz stated that this includes changes that Council has made.
RULL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted as Amended
CLOSING COMMENTS
Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any additional comments.
Mr. Marquardt reported that the Aintree North Homeowner's Association meeting is
Friday. Do we have an answer about the entryway signs? Mr. Metzung indicated that we might
be experimenting with some type of paint to highlight the colors and letters. Mr. Metzung has
met with our electrician regarding getting some light to that scene. The lighting of the sign had
been tied to the lighting of S.O.M. Center Road. That has been put on a backburner, so now he is
going forward with another proposal to light the sign.
Mayor Rinker added that his understanding was that CEI was taking the position that we
would either have to drop a whole brand new pole and we would tie it to the road project because
that seemed way overkill. Now you have something where you can put a much smaller post. At
least now we have an idea of what is required. The package they gave us indicated that" it is
supposed to wear down. That is what they are telling Doug now. But then we were also told that
the lights on North Commons would get softer. The solution we are looking at is to actually
apply a paint instead of waiting for Mother Nature. Mrs. Mills asked if we should put paint on it.
Mayor Rinker indicated it is a vinyl product.
Mr. Marquardt asked if we have talked to anyone about this. What does he tell people?
Mayor Rinker indicated he should tell them that they have got a nice sign and a nice wall and we
are working on the lighting. At this time, we do not have an answer.
