Regular Council Meeting
1-29-07
Page 26
Mr. Saponaro asked if we have any homeowners from there that want to comment.
Debbie Thomas stated that she thinks it is very nice. When it gets lit, it will be much better.
Mayor Rinker indicated that it is not what they represented to us to be. It was supposed to show a
lot more contrast. We did not think this would be an issue. Now that it is, we are trying to find a
resolution. The guy is telling Doug, it will wear. We are thinking not soon enough. Lighting at
nighttime will probably do a lot because of the three dimensional element. We might have a
painfi that might work. Mr. Metzung stated that we won't know until it is warm enough to apply
the paint.
Mr. Buckholtz asked if the paint will be applied when the weather gets drier. Mr.
Metzung indicated it will.
Candidly, at the end of the day, Mayor Rinker indicated that if we put this guy on notice
that if this sign is not what it was represented to be we are going to have to take it out and do
another one. Anyone can paint a sign, it is whether the sign painter knows what he is dealing
with. Mr. Metzung stated that the sign painter is not representing the paint will function. We
have no viable option. That is why we are going with painting it. We have no option. The sign
person's option is to wait, you will get the effect you are looking for, it takes time. You are
telling me, I don't have time. Mr. Marquardt stated that he is having a hard time believing it is
going to change, he is afraid it will get worse. It has gotten worse since it has gone up.
Mr. Metzung indicated that we are working on it and he will keep everyone posted.
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to adjourn.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 10:31 p.m.
February 26th at 8:00 p.m.
?
MARY E! BETSA
CLERK OF COUNCIL
The next Council meeting is scheduled for

WILLIAM BUCKHOLTZ, CO IL PRESIDENT
