<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />February 26, 2007 <br />Mayfield Village Civic Hall <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, February 26, 2007 at <br />approximately 8:05 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Buckholtz called <br />the meeting to order. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, <br />Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker and Mr. Saponaro <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Ms. Calta, Mr. Cappello, Chief Dearden, <br />Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Mr. Thomas, <br />Mr. DiNardo, Mrs. Kalina and Mrs. Betsa <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />OIPEN PORTION <br />5-rninute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. <br />Joanne O'Brien <br />6759 Walnut <br />Mrs. O'Brien has been a Mayfield Village resident for 14 years. She is the Co-Chairman <br />along with Patty Russo on the new Beautification Committee. She is here to report this evening that <br />today she and Jean Britton took a field trip out to Middleridge Garden Nursery in Madison. It has <br />been her express desire to liven up the corridor of downtown in Mayfield Village. Last year she <br />contacted 25 cities and asked who had hanging baskets in their cities. She took a survey and found <br />out that 19 out of the 25 that she called has hanging flowers. This was her first order of business on <br />the Beautification Committee. <br />She then went, with the city's permission, and purchased 8 baskets. They were a little <br />skimpy but it was not the nursery's fault because we started far too late. This year our Committee <br />dECided that we had to move into action quickly and get this done. We went to Middleridge Nursery <br />because after listening to other cities and listening to them compliment other cities, Willoughby, <br />Willoughby Hills, Wickliffe and Willowick were on the high list of recommendations.
