Regular Council Meeting
4-30-07
Page 7
September. The Committee agreed not to meet during the suminer as all summer programs are
well on the way. The next meeting will be September 19th. Mr. Buckholtz thanked Mr. Marrie
for the suggestion on the lighting. We will definitely discuss it at the next Safety and Service
meeting.
SPIECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS:
2020 Vision Committee - Dr. Parker reported that there was a meeting on March 29th. The
primary purpose of that meeting was a reorganization of the committee. Discussion included that
efforts should be made to develop and design the area to be pedestrian friendly. The creation of
mixed-use zoning classifications was also discussed. Mr. Hartt discussed various types of
specific uses. Some of the discussion was about both the community and businesses responses to
City Architecture's work that we see up on the wall. They also discussed the uses and setting of
subareas or specific uses. After much discussion, the next steps were that City Architecture
would prepare a revised plan based on that evening's discussion. Roundtables should be
sch.eduled in May so that we can garner community support. Hopefully in June or July, these
ideas will be brought to Planning and Zoning and Council. Mr. Saponaro asked Dr.. Parker if he
was at the meeting. Dr. Parker indicated that he was unable to attend because the meeting had
been changed so many times. The information he is relaying is based upon the minutes. They
are good minutes. You can get a lot of information by reviewing them.
Information & Technology - There was no meeting, so there is no report.
Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported that the Commission will be meeting on June 2ptn
100 13USI:NESS ?
OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair.
