Sean Supler updated us on the different teams .
that we have. The adult softball is completely full along with the adult soccer. Flag football for
the youth has begun. We already have four teams in that again this year. Registration is still
taking place for the youth softball. It looks like we are going to have the same amount of
numbers as last year which would be 4 teams for the 6-8 year old co-ed, 1 team for the 9-11 boys
travel team, 1 team for the 12-14 boys travel team and 6 teams for the 14-18 year old league.
Dave gave us a report on the pool and said that the staff was completely hired and ready to roll.
As in the past, we are going to have the Sizzler Swim Meet this year. Highland Heights is working with the Recreation Board to work out
having people in the Village that have passes to go down to Highland Heights and swim on those
days. We will have designated smoking areas outside of the pool and the softball fields. Bill
Thomas brought up the lights for safety purposes.
Mr. Marrie wished to add his concern about the lack of lighting at our parking lot at the Civic
Center. We should consider having them installed. It has not been discussed before. Mr. Marrie
talked to Doug and would like to put that on the Safety and Service agenda for their next
meeting.
Bill has also discussed putting up some screening or netting along the back of Wiley fields so
that the balls are not going out into S.O.M. Center Road. We will not meet again until
