Regular Council Meeting 5-21-07 Page 2 DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: SEI2VICE - Douizlas Metzung There was nothing to report. BUILDING - John Marrelli Mr. Marrelli reported that paving will be done over at Musca Mall during the next couple of weeks. It will be done at night. Mr. Buckholtz asked what times they would be working. Mr. Marrelli does not know what day or time they will be starting. This will be announced on the HARS radio and on the website. ENGIl\TEERING - Tom Cappello Mr. Cappello reported that the Highland Road sanitary sewer installation is done. The last connection was done today. Beginning this week, they will be starting the water work for the underpass. Excavation for the underpass will start in a week to a week and a half. Mr. Saponaro asked how this will affect the traffic. Mr. Cappello stated that as of now, nothing will change in the way of trafFic. There was a request by the contractor to see if we could close the road for approximately 50 days which would cut the construction time in half. Due to the issues with the Mayfield Road construction, we discussed this with Chief Dearden and it was wise that Highland remain open. LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Joe Diemert There was nothing to report. FI12E - Chief Mohr There was nothing to report. FINANCE - Phillip Brett Mr. Brett reported that as discussed at Caucus, we have the enabling legislation for the NOACA planning grant for the green corridor and a Resolution of Appreciation for Fran Migliorino. She is goin? to be honored at the Inside Business Economic Development Impact Award Dinner on June 7t . If Council members would like to attend that, we have reserved a table. In addition, Mr. Brett passed out another award ceremony with the Ohio Society of Landscape Architects for the Upper 40 Award from that professional organization. That will be in Columbus on the 31St Anyone interested in attending either event that should get in touch with Mr. Brett or Mrs. Betsa.
