Minutes of the Combined Caucus/Council Meeting
6-11-07
Page 2
Mr. Hood added that they missed his house. Mr. DiNardo advised that they missed his
too, but if they put a sign on everyone's property, that will resolve it. That would be a good
solution. Council President Buckholtz advised that we could handle that.
Mrs. Mills advised that from what she understands, the service department puts in the
poles and the police put the signs on the poles. The need for additional signage on Sandalwood
and Butternut was discussed during the last Activities Committee meeting. The police and
service department took caxe of this'promptly. Mrs. Mills was not aware there was a problem at
Seneca.
Mr. Hood advised that when they started putting them up, he had one every year. All of a
sudden this year he did not get one.
Mrs. Mills indicated that Mrs. Betsa will note that for discussion at our next Activities
meeting.
Mr. Hood stated that at the end of the street going the other way there were signs all over
the place. Mrs. Mills apologized to Mr. Hood.
Another question was raised by Mr. Hood regarding the property across the street where
Kennedy used to live. Is the Village going to buy that? Mayor Rinker stated that the Village has
endeavored to purchase it. It went into foreclosure. We have been in negotiations on this. Mr.
Hood stated that the weeds are out of control and the grass needs cut. Mayor Rinker advised that
we do not own it yet. We have had two to three discussions and have left messages over as
many weeks. We do not have an answer from them yet, but it has noti been from lack of effort.
Our goal is to purchase that property.
Mrs. Mills asked Mr. Metzung if he has sent his men over there to cut the grass one time
already. Mr. Metzung replied at least once. Mrs. Mills asked Mr. Hood if the grass needs to be
cut again. Mr. Hood said the grass does not look too bad, but the weeds need to be handled.
Mayor Rinker advised that we have been trying to keep tabs on some of these. We will take care
of this. Council President Buckholtz thanked Mr. Hood for bringing this to our attention.
CONSIDERATION OF.MINUTES:
Rmular Council Meetiniz - Mav 21, 2007
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to approve the minutes.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Minutes Approved

?
