Minutes of the Combined Caucus/Council Meeting
7-16-07
Page 19

Motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $3,000.00 to A.S.A.P. for frame
lengthening project on Polaris Ranger.
Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of
$3,000.00 to A.S.A.P. for frame lengthening project on Polaris Ranger.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
Mr. Marquardt asked if this will fix the Polaris. Chief Mohr stated that we are improving the
safety of it by lengthening the frame. The weight of the tank and the firefighters on it is pulling
the front end off a little bit. By adding 18" to it, the manufacturer and the engineers feel that it
will lengthen the frame thus the wheels will be equally on the pavement or off the pavement and
on the ground and improve the operational functionality of the vehicle. Mr. Marquardt asked
why it was not designed this way in the first place. Chief Mohr replied that this is an early
version of it. They have later versions. This is an A version, the B and C version which they are
up to now has the length and frame on it which has improved the functionality of it. Council
President Buckholtz asked what yeax this is. Chief Mohr advised that this is a January 2005
model.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
Motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00 for
electrical work in Civic Center Auditorium.
Mr. Saponaro clarified that this should be for JSS Electrical.
Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in an amount
not to exceed $60,000.00 for electrical work in Civic Center Auditorium.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
Mr. Marrelli reported that this is part of-the auditorium, phase two.
