Minutes of the Combined Caucus/Council Meeting 7-16-07 Page 20 Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried NAYS: None Expenditure Authorized Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $48,220.00 to C.E.I. Custom Fabricators for Civic Center Auditorium seating. , Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $48,220.00 to C.E.I. Custom Fabricators for Civic Center Auditorium seating. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mr. Marquardt asked if we previously bought some seats. Council President Buckholtz responded that we are looking to sell, those. Mayor Rinker advised that that was that fire sale that came up a couple of years ago. Mr. Saponaro added that 270 seats were bought for $10.00 a seat: Mr. Marrelli advised that they would have needed extensive refurbishing. It is cheaper to buy brand new seats instead of trying to rebuild those. Mayor Rinker stated that Council thought it was a good idea at the time. Council President Buckholtz indicated that it was an early atfempt. There is a market for them. Supposedly someone is interested in them. Council President Buckholtz asked about the church pews. Mr. Marrelli stated that they need to come out in the next three to four weeks. Council President Buckholtz suggested that we store them. Some people have been inquiring about this. Mr. Marrelli said that anyone who knows anyone who seriously wants to take some of these out of here, it's fine. Council President Buckholtz suggested we advertise in the Sun newspapers. Mr. Marrie asked if she has the name. We will look in to that. Council President Buckholtz advised that he knows there a couple of people who wanted one or two. Mayor Rinker asked when the new seats will be coming in. Mr. Marrelli replied the end of September. The pews need to come out, the ceiling needs to be done, the carpet needs to be replaced. Mayor Rinker advised that there are a number of events this fall that we think will be great to showcase how this overall auditorium is going to function. This is a way to get it done.
