Minutes of the Combined Caucus/Council Meeting <br />8-13-07 <br />Page 18 <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2007-19, "An emergency ordinance authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a purchase agreement for the acquisition of 6500 Wilson Mills Road, Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2007-19. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any questions. <br />Mr. Brett explained that this is the Beranek property. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Backtracking to Item No. 19, Ordinance No. 2007-21, Mr. Diemert explained that the rules have <br />already been suspended, it is just a question of any further discussion. <br />Mr. Marquardt asked why there are two grouped together. <br />Mr. Brett explained that the ordinances are grouped by historical background. The golf course <br />has always been one ordinance and then Zako was added to that one. Because there was a slight <br />change last year in the acquisition of some of the Wilson Mills property, that became strictly <br />open space. Those are grouped together. Because this was so close to the Wilson Mills <br />properties last year, they put them in this one. If it had been much different, they would have <br />had a third ordinance. <br />Mr. Buckholtz asked if there are two separate bonds. <br />Mr. Brett stated that it would still be one note, it is just that the authorization and letter of <br />transmittal will carry both ordinances separately. <br />Council President Buckholtz advised that we still need a motion to approve. <br /> <br /> <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2007-21.
