Minutes of the Combined Caucus/Council Meeting <br />8-13-07 <br />Page 6 <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />2020 Vision Committee - There was no report. <br />Information & Technolo?v - Mr. Marrie reported that Information & Technology had a <br />meeting. They are checking on the cost and details of expansion of the wireless. We are waiting <br />for some prices and will schedule another meeting. Mr. Marrie will update everyone following <br />that. <br />Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported that the Commission was waiting until Mrs. Betsa <br />returned from the seminar regarding House Bi119 and the new rules and regulations. A meeting <br />should be scheduled shortly. <br />OLD BUSINESS ; <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"Old Business" only. <br />There were no comments. <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2007-07, entitled, "An ordinance amending the Charter to <br />include eligibility for participation in the current Village healthcare benefits program as part of <br />the compensation paid to members of Council and to submit the question to the voters for <br />approval in accordance with Village Charter Article III, Section 6(a)." Introduced by Mayor <br />Rinker and Council as a Whole. First Reading May 21, 2007. Second Reading June 11, 2007. <br />Mr. Buckholtz stated that this ordinance was left on second read pending it going to the Wage <br />Committee. Mr. Marrie reported that the Wage Committee did not have a chance to meet <br />because of scheduling conflicts. Mr. Marrie suggested that this be tabled and done another time. <br />Motion to table Ordinance No. 2007-07. <br />Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to table Ordinance No. 2007-07. <br />Mr. Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Brett asked Mr. Diemert what the timing is on this. If tabled to the next scheduled meeting, <br />will we make the deadline to appear on the November ballot? Mr. Diemert responded that we <br />will not. Mr. Buckholtz stated that it is more important to. get the details hammered out on this <br />before getting it to the voters at this time. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Ordinance Tabled
