Minutes of the Council Meeting
September 24, 2007
Page 17

J
or should we be enforcing more, aggressive plowing. With that particular storm, one of the
problems was just that. You can;always get into a debate as to whether they came out earlier or
not by the time we checked it. Mayor Rinker does not dispute the need to be more attentive to
inspection, but he has a feeling the key is going to be whether they invoke some emergency
measure and say, "Look, you have to get out there and do it again. I don't care if you were
already there, you have to get out there." If you can do that on a per claim basis, we can improve
it.
Mayor Rinker suggested if you have a chance to, watch PBS. Ken Burns' documentaries
are very educational and worth it.
Mr. Saponaro reminded everyone that the Fairmount Center for the Arts Writer's
Conference is October 13th and 14th. You are going to have some amazing authors here. It is
$295.00 for two days for adults and $195.00 for students. It is an amazing experience. You
should look at the brochure and check it out or pass it along to other people. Mayor Rinker added
that the introductory speaker will be worth the price. Mr. Buckholtz suggested everyone pass it
along to those interested. Everyone should at least stop in. If you just want to see it, it will be
something to stop in and check out.
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Mills, seconded by NIr. Marquardt, made a motion to adjourn.
x ately 9:05 p.m. The next Council meeting is scheduled for
The meeting adjourned at MO07mw
Monday, Octo22X07 ?
IAM BUCKHOLTZ, COUNCIL PRESI?DElN
WILL
M Y E ETSA
CLERK OF COUNCIL
