Minutes of the Council Meeting <br />December 17, 2007 <br />Page 7 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on <br />December 3` . They reviewed the oil and gas ordinance that is on the agenda tonight. This is the <br />second review of that ordinance, to get all of the issues resolved on it. They also reviewed three <br />stormwater management ordinances which will probably be coming to Council in January. <br />Planning and Zonin? - Mr. Maxquardt reported that Planning and Zoning met on December 3`a <br />The agenda item was the Heinen's expansion. The expansion was approved on a 4-2 vote. The <br />two dissenting votes were not opposed to the Heinen's expansion but rather were opposed to the <br />granting of commercial use on Village property in a residentially zoned area. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Thomas reported that the Recreation Board did not have a meeting in <br />December, but held their annual Santa party on Saturday, December 8th at Civic Hall. <br />Approximately 60 children attended along with parents and grandparents. The children did arts <br />and crafts, listened to music and had their picture taken with Santa after they told him what they <br />wanted for Christmas. Cookies, punch and hot cocoa were served. The next meeting is <br />scheduled for Wednesday, January 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the Civic Center. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />2020 Vision Committee - There was no report. <br />Information & Technolou - There was no report. <br />Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported that the Commission will not have a meeting until <br />some time in January. <br />.. . .. <br />OT?D BUSIN'ESS <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"Old Business" only. <br />There were no comments. <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2007-24, entitled, "An emergency ordinance authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into the Anchor Agreement for Phase 1 of the Cuyahoga Innovation Zones Pilot <br />Program." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. First Reading: October <br />22, 2007; Second Reading: November 27, 2007. <br />Mr.Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended
