Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, December 19, 2016 Page 2 I would also like. to thank everyone here in this room from our Village participants who come pretty faithfully to interact with us and give us their comments and share with us as well as the Department Heads, Police and Fire Department; we have a lot of Fire Department representatives with us Here tonight for a special occasion; certainly, Joe Saponaro and all of the members of Council, Mary Beth, our Law Director and everyone who is here tonight, our Engineer who had a traffic accident a little over a week ago and was unfortunately not able to be with us. I appreciate all of your participation. It's just wonderful and a great privilege to work with all of you toward the betterment of Mayfield Village. I am looking forward to a great 2017. We are going to begin tonight with some wonderful things for 2017. First we are going to swear in Lieutenant Michael Girbino as our new Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal, so Mike if you would like to come up here please. Chief Carcioppolo stated, excuse me, I am sorry, the Cleveland Firefighters' Memorial Pipes and Drums Band graciously came to help honor the Fire Deparhnent tonight. We are going to play a traditional Opening Ceremony piece prior to beginning the swearing-in ceremony. Mayor Bodnar stated, thank you. That would be wonderful. Thank you very much. The Cleveland Firefighters' Memorial Pipes and Drums Band presented in honor of the swearing-in ceremonies. Mayor Bodnar thanked the Cleveland Firefighters' Memorial Pipes and Drum Band. SWEARING-IN CEREMONY: - Michael Girbino -Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal Mayor Bodnar stated, this is a very well-deserved promotion. Lieutenant Girbino please join me here and if you would like you may bring someone with you to pin on your badge when we are done with the swearing in or I can pin it on for you whatever you choose. Mayor Bodnar administered the oath of office to Michael Girbino as the new Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal for the Mayfield Village Fire Department. - Kyle Schreiber -Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic Mayor Bodnar stated, now I have the honor of swearing in our new Full-Tune Firefighter/Paramedic, Mr. Kyle Schreiber.
