Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Tuesday, January 22, 2013 <br />Page 10 <br />Mr. Delguyd explained, all we are doing is amending this to insure that people hired mid-yeaz <br />will only get a percentage of the reimbursement cost for the year. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked what the cost would be. <br />Mr. Wynne replied, to fund the MERP Plan for 2013, the amount will be about $165,000. <br />Mr. Delguyd stated, by approving the Plan, we approve the $165,000. All this is saying is to <br />ensure that new hires and terminations are pro-rated. Probably about <br />$100,000. It was really just a timing difference. The January receipts we have received already <br />are about $300,000-400,000 above the Januarys for prior years. So the shorta.ge for December <br />has kind of flipped over to January and then some. <br />Mayor Rinker asked, the shortage in December is an overage in January? Mr. Wynne replied, <br />correct. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, any other questions?
