Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Tuesday, January 22, 2013 Page 10 Mr. Delguyd explained, all we are doing is amending this to insure that people hired mid-yeaz will only get a percentage of the reimbursement cost for the year. Council President Buckholtz asked what the cost would be. Mr. Wynne replied, to fund the MERP Plan for 2013, the amount will be about $165,000. Mr. Delguyd stated, by approving the Plan, we approve the $165,000. All this is saying is to ensure that new hires and terminations are pro-rated. We won't know what numbers are. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mr. Wynne stated, December's tax receipts were lower than, prior years. Probably about $100,000. It was really just a timing difference. The January receipts we have received already are about $300,000-400,000 above the Januarys for prior years. So the shorta.ge for December has kind of flipped over to January and then some. Mayor Rinker asked, the shortage in December is an overage in January? Mr. Wynne replied, correct. Council President Buckholtz asked, any other questions? There were none.
