There were none.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
Motion to authorize selection of independent auditor James G. Zupka to perform
Village audit for 2011-2014.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize selection of independent auditor
James G. Zupka to perform Village audit for 2011-2014.
Council President Buckholtz asked Mr. Wynne to explain this item.
Mr. Wynne replied, this is the bid process with the State Auditor's office and the Village. There
were four firms that quoted on doing the audit for those four years. Each company that bid was
evalua#ed from a technical experience standpoint first and ranked by the Village and the State
and then we looked at the actual bids themselves, the cost as a separate process. Zupka came in
on-my- evalua.tion-and the--State's--evaluation as -number-one from a#echnical experience-
standpoint and second from a cost standpoint. So they weren't the lowest bidder, they were the
second lowest bidder. We will be paying $12,650 for the first yeaz and then $11,500 for each of
the next three years. In comparison, last year we paid the State $11,500 and $11,600 the year
before, so we are pretty much fixing our cost for the next four years. This firm has about 15
professionals in it and they are exclusively governmental type auditors so they have a lot
experience doing municipalities, villages and townships.
1
?
