Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, April 16, 2012
Page 4
something we a11 are rightfully proud of. There's a lot more sweat equity in there than I think
monetary equity. We do appreciate it. Kudos to you all.
Mr. Muhle thanked Mayor Rinker.
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:
SERVICE - Douglas MetzunLF
Mr. Metzung reported, this evening on the agenda is legislation rejecting the bids for our trailer
move. I am not sure if the bid packet got passed out, but the bids came back in Friday. They
were substantially higher than we originally estimated. We don't feel that it's proper to move
forward without going back and going through the steps once again and moving this project
forward. Look forward to it returning to the agenda some time soon. I think the need is still
there, but we are going to reexamine this project.
BUILDING - John Marrelli
Updating on the Library project, Mr. Marrelli reported that it officially kicked off with a permit
issuance this morning. If I'm not mistaken, the first Wednesday in May, the ceremonial
groundbreaking is scheduled. You should have probably received a postcard on this.
ENGINEERING - Tom Capuello
There was nothing to report.
LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Diane Calta
There was nothing to report.
FIItE - Chief Mohr
Chief Mohr reported that long-time firefighter, one of the original volunteers, and long-time
Mayfield Village resident, Ed Gottschling passed away last evening. Services are pending. For
the record, he served the community for many many yeazs.
FINANCE - Ron Wynne
There was nothing to report.
POLICE - Chief Edelman
There was nothing to report.
